We have 6 full days to do activities. We can Ride (Half or Full Day) or we can do other activities like Rafting, Canyoning, Rappelling, Nature Float, Tubing, Caving, ATV´s, Hikes, among many other options.
We also visit: hot springs, frog farm, waterfalls, local markets, Coffe tours, animal rescue centers.
We have many rides around the Ranch and we have other destinations where we truck the horses: Cloud Forest Ride, Arenal Volcano Ride, Peñas Blancas River Ride, Bosque Ulima Ride.
Everything (but Gratuity for the Guide and souvenirs) is included on our Full Trip
Day 1
Your Centaura leader will be right outside the terminal to meet you, and you
can fall asleep in the 4×4 as we drive, or you can start bombarding him with thousands of questions. So it will be an easy day, driving across the mountains.
Day 2
Today we will pick out the horses you want to ride on your trip and try out different saddles until you have your favorite all picked out.
The horses are very well trained, and even inexperienced riders quickly gain
control of their mounts. We’ll spend a good part of our day riding around our farm.
Day 3
Early in the morning, we head to a special project we love naturalist people
to experience… Our Frog Sanctuary.
We can spot them quite often here…. the brilliant green and black Harlequin, the red and blue Bluejeans Frog, and, most ornate of all, the shy,
multicolored night tree frog — bright blue stripes and bright orange toes and
eyes on a lime green body.
After the frogs we will ride on the banks of Peñas Blancas river, great open areas to run the horses, trails in the middle of a primary rainforest.
Ones we are done with the ride we will take you to the hot springs.
We especially like this spring because it is a favorite of local people, not crowded, and the sounds of the jungle compete with the waterfall noises, something so tranquil that you feel like melting chocolate.
Day 4
Today we let the horses rest.

Day 5
The San Carlos area is full of local horseback harvest festivals, call
Cabalgatas. We don’t know where it will be yet, or how many horses, but we do know it will be the memory of a horseman’s lifetime.
Whole families atop one horse, and the raw energy of country people
enjoying an old-fashioned hoe-down kind of celebration.
In case we do not find a Cabalgata, we will take out of the Ranch for a superb ride.
Day 6
Riding at Centaura Farm.
Our ranch (2800 acres) starts at 360 feet above the sea level. The higher elevation we have at the ranch is almost 1100. Imagine the trails and the
amazing views going up.
We will make a stop by a swimming hole to cool off in pristine clear water before riding back to Centaura.
Day 7
Today we take you to the cloud forest ride.
We will ride down on primary cloud forest, amazing plantations and villages. Horseback is one of the most amazing ways to see the forest. Let the horse
watch his feet while you, relieved of the need to watch your footing, can keep your eyes focused on the splendor of the flora, and spot a bit of fauna
as well.
Then because you have earned it, there are hot springs.
There’s a private place with no buses, no signs, and only a few people
enjoying the hot water and hot water waterfall and fresh fruit drinks.
Day 8
